I observe the ever changing beauty of the environment around me, painting outside, en plein air, as often as I can. I have discovered that this is the only way for me to really capture the essence of the moment; wind, rain or blazing heat, will find their way into the painting
I grew up with the sea ever present, with high winds the addiction of a windsurfing mother which she passed on to her children !
I am based in Camber Sands, East Sussex now with a studio close by in Rye having spent some years in Tarifa Southern Spain while our children were growing up.
